Today I feel funny. I’m bloated, my hair dried frizzy, I can’t find anything to wear, and I overall just don’t feel confident in myself at all. This is one of those days when old me would cancel any plans and stay inside to eat/numb my feelings in front of a screen, underneath blankets where I feel safe and unharmed by other people’s judgments. But I made plans with 2 friends who I am so excited to see and new me thinks those relationships are more important than silly surface level only-in-my-brain insecurities. This is growth.

specific compliments are so underrated! when someone says “i love your earrings” or “you smell really nice” or “you have such neat handwriting” it means they’re paying attention to your details! i think that’s super beautiful and to me is better than being complimented on appearance!
