One. Don’t feel bad when someone tells you not to worry. If you are worried, remember, though, that it doesn’t change the situation. So, either do something about the fear or do something about the thing you’re worried about.
Two. Allow yourself to think as many nice things about yourself as you think about others.
Three. They are just a person with a story, just like you are.
Four. It’s always been okay to be a little different. Why shouldn’t it be now?
Five. It’s okay to need other people.
Six. It doesn’t mean that you’re not strong, independant or your own person just because you want someone else to care about you.
Seven. It’s okay to share things with others. But sometimes telling a story again means keeping that story alive. Sometimes, that hurts.
Eight. It’s okay to like music that doesn’t measure up to your standard of “good music”. You still get to be the person associated with good taste in music.
Nine. Just because you have to give up on some ideas in life doesn’t mean that it’s all pointless. It can always be good in different ways.
Ten. Your fear is not everything. Even when you can’t breathe, remember that. Actually, remember that especially when you can’t breathe.
